Black Pepper Essential Oil is a warming oil that has a stimulating effect on body and mind; a great one to add to the burner if you have a task to do to (its a very powerful oil, so a little goes a long way).
It may also help to improve circulation and ease digestive problems. Black Pepper essential oil is commonly used in athletic massage rubs (its one of the star ingredients in our best-selling Muscle & Joint Gel).
It’s properties are often thought to be similar to those of capsicum. Historically it’s been used as a muscle relaxant and an aphrodisiac for thousands of years. It’s also said to help improve concentration.

How to use – To diffuse in a traditional burner, simply fill dish with water and add a few drops of oil on top before lighting the candle. For electrical fragrancers, follow instructions given by the manual. For massage: dilute to a maximum of 1% in a carrier oil and gently massage over the skin. Add a few drops to a handkerchief or inhale directly from the bottle if you are on the go. Dilute in distilled water and pour into spray bottle for an all-natural room fragrancer.
Uses and methods of application – Dilute to a maximum of 1% in a carrier oil and use as a muscle rub after a session in the gym or the garden. Add a few drops to a burner to help energise and focus the mind (it blends beautifully with the citrus oils). Add a few drops to a warm bath to help ease the joints.
