Cajeput Essential Oil is a lovely oil to use in the colder weather as it produces a wonderful warming sensation when applied via massage to the skin. It’s also a great way to help clear a stuffy nose when used in a steam inhalation.
Cajeput is said to help improve your mood, increase your ability to focus and help build resistance to infection.
You may also find it helpful in treating an itchy scalp and oily skin. Traditionally used for its cleansing and deodorising properties.
Ingredients – Melaleuca leucadendron cajaputi Oil
Origin – Indonesia
How to use – To diffuse in a traditional burner, simply fill dish with water and add a few drops of oil on top before lighting the candle. For electrical fragrancers, follow instructions given by the manual. For massage: dilute to a maximum of 1% in a carrier oil and gently massage over the skin. Add a few drops to a handkerchief or inhale directly from the bottle if you are on the go. Dilute in distilled water and pour into spray bottle for an all-natural room fragrancer.
Uses and methods of application – Add a few drops to a bowl of warm water and use in a steam inhalation if you’re feeling bunged up – hover the head about 12 inches above the bowl, place a towel over head, close the eyes and remain her for a few minutes s you inhale the steam (discontinue if any irritation occurs). Dilute to a maximum of 1% in a carrier oil and use in massage as a natural muscle rub. Dilute to a maximum of 1% in a base cream or lotion to help balance oily skin and soothe breakouts.
