Citronella Essential Oil

Citronella Essential Oil is a lovely light, fresh and uplifting oil – perfect for use all year round but particularly enjoyable to burn during the summer months. It is renowned for having excellent neutralising and cleansing properties and its refreshing scent makes a great natural room freshener (try adding 15-20 drops to 100ml of distilled water and pour into an atomiser bottle).

When vaporised, its zesty scent can help give you that added lift when you’re feeling tired and fatigued.

How to use – To diffuse in a traditional burner, simply fill dish with water and add a few drops of oil on top before lighting the candle. For electrical fragrancers, follow instructions given by the manual. For massage: dilute to a maximum of 1% in a carrier oil and gently massage over the skin. Add a few drops to a handkerchief or inhale directly from the bottle if you are on the go. Dilute in distilled water and pour into spray bottle for an all-natural room fragrancer.

Uses and methods of application – A great one to use in soap making due to its fresh, natural cleansing properties. Add a few drops to a diffuser to fill the air with its fresh and fruity aromas; great for helping combat foul odours. Dilute to a maximum of 1% in a carrier oil and use in massage to help soothe aches and pains. Add a few drops to your shampoo to help promote shine and manageability of the hair.
